Tribunal ruling on sacked worker's claim is delayed

Sacked London restaurant worker Andrew Young may have to wait until mid-August for an industrial tribunal to deliver a verdict on his victimisation claim, after it reserved judgement following a three-day hearing in Stratford, east London, that ended on 15 July.

Young claimed he was dismissed from Bill Sewell's Cheapside vegetarian restaurant The Place Below last December because he was trying to organise a trade union (Caterer, 19 March, page 9).
