Two become one at Compass
Compass Group has combined its Travellers Fare and Scandinavian Service Partner (SSP) operations in one brand, to target the retail, travel and leisure industries.
The new division, Select Service Partner, combines Travellers Fare, acquired by Compass in 1992; airport catering wing SSP, bought in 1994; and Compass Group UK's retail and leisure business.
The move means that Select Service Partner will operate at more than 40 airports internationally, many shopping and leisure centres and most UK rail stations.
While day-to-day operations will be broadly unaffected, the former Compass retail and Travellers Fare divisions will have access to brands peculiar to SSP, such as French café Hippopotamus and John Bull Pubs.
The former SSP division will be able to use Compass Group brands, such as Café Select and Ritazza.
