Eurest wins unisys
Compass subsidiary Eurest has won a three-year contract to provide 2,500 meals a day at 16 Unisys sites in Europe, including five in the UK. The deal is worth about £8.5m in annual turnover.
Ponti's a-plenty
Ponti's has opened its 22nd Italian restaurant in London, a 110-seat branch in Maddox Street, off Regent Street.
Hydro handover
Torquay-based Shearings Hotels has bought the 62-bedroom Pitlochry Hydro hotel from Scottish Highland Hotels for £1.9m. The handover will take place on 9 July.
Kirby Moor sold
Alyson and Mark Harrison have paid a sum close to the £250,000 asked by agent Robert Barry for the six-bedroom Kirby Moor Country House Hotel in Brampton, Cumbria, with a 48-cover restaurant.
Fatter jackets
Courts Quality Foods is to open three new Fat Jackets outlets, bringing the total to seven. May openings include West Orchards Shopping Centre, Coventry, and the Welsh Designer Village in Bridgend, while September will add the new Trafford Centre, Manchester.
Gerrans bay sale
Graham Child and Lynn Monger are the new owners of the 14-bedroom Gerrans Bay hotel in Portscatho, near Truro, in Cornwall. They paid slightly below the £250,000 sought by agent Robert Barry.
