Vintners Hall seminar aims to put Alsace on the map

FEW wine-producing regions have grown so much in popularity and still have so far to go to gain general acceptance as Alsace.

Which is all the more reason, then, to attend the full-day seminar on the wines of the Grandes Maisons d'Alsace next month. It will be held at the Vintners Hall, London, from 10am to 3.30pm.

This is the first time the Grandes Maisons have offered an event of this kind presenting the wines, viticulture, vinification and personalities behind eight of the great houses of the region.

Lecturers will include Jean Trimbach and Etienne Hugel.

Tickets for the day cost £20. Reservations by post to the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, Five Kings House, 1 Queen Street Place, London EC4R 1QS.
