Washing powder with disinfectant

The problem of laundry disinfection is something that concerns every level of housekeeping, not just healthcare.

High-temperature washing and calendering is the usual approach for eradication of bacteria such as E coli and staphylococcus, but cleaning chemicals company Springdawn has now produced a washing powder which contains a disinfectant.

It works at the normal washing temperature of 40ºC, making it suitable for both coloured and white fabrics, and is effective, Springdawn claims, in hard and soft water.

Although new into the hospitality market, Springdawn is well established in retail with cleaning brands such as Glo-White, Stain Devils and Acdo.

The price is 10kg bag £9.99.
