William Pears are the latest offering from Caterplan under its Ambrosia label. The pears come in 2.1kg tins containing between 10 and 12 whole fruits peeled and poached, with a flat base to help with preparation.
The pears still have their stalks intact to give them a freshly prepared appearance, says Caterplan.

Keep on truckin'

Sweets for my sweet
An individual cake range of traditionally baked cakes has been introduced by West of England Cake Company. Sweet Treats is available in six flavours - Chocolate Fudge, Toffee, Lemon, Strawberry, Orange, and Carrot Cake - and comes with its own disposable spoon.
Each Sweet Treat has a four-week shelf life and comes packed in cases of six individual cakes.

Ringing the changes
A hospitality cash register with a complementary kitchen printer has been launched by Olympia.
The Olympia CM 1930 has the capability to control the accounts of up to 50 tables and it includes a two-way paging system that lets the kitchen inform waiters when orders are ready for collection.
The optional Olympia CM 888K kitchen printer receives food orders from the CM 1930 which it can print in a variety of languages, including Chinese.
Olympia software is included in the CM 1930 package which lets the user present data on a PC and download it to the cash register.
Daily and weekly sales reports can be printed which, says Olympia, assist sales and accountancy records and can automatically maintain supply levels.

Bellissima Ellisse
Buttress has launched an espresso machine called Bezzera Ellisse featuring a curved finished, programmable electronic water dosage and a pre-fusion cycle to guarantee consistency of volume, strength and temperature of the coffee.
