Whitbread to buy Benjy's sandwich bars?

Whitbread is understood to be among the companies eyeing London sandwich bar chain Benjy's, put up for sale last year.
Benjy's director Ken Benjamin said he had received six bids for the 33-strong, City-based chain, but declined to reveal who they were from.
He hopes to tie up a deal within the next four weeks.
A spokesman for Whitbread said: "It's a rumour and we would never comment on speculation."
If the group were interested in the sandwich bar market it would be "part of a long-term strategy", he added.
