Winter warmers with dumplings

Warm up your customers with the new Beef Casserole and Chunky Vegetable Stew, complete with dumplings, from Brake Bros.

Both ready meals are generously portioned at 440g, which means excellent plate presentation.

The Beef Casserole contains pieces of beef in a pale ale gravy with root vegetables and a suet dumpling, while the Chunky Vegetable Stew comprises chunky root vegetables, including carrot, swede, turnip and potato, in a rich ale sauce with two vegetable suet dumplings, topped with grated cheese.

Both dishes can be oven baked from thawed or frozen (20 and 40 minutes respectively) or can be microwaved from thawed in about four minutes.

Available in packs of 12, the Beef Casserole costs £29 (£2.42 each) and the Vegetable Stew costs £25.20 (£2.10 each).

Also new is a range of individually portioned frozen soups. There are seven varieties including Carrot and Coriander, Potato and Leek, Mushroom and Stilton and Broccoli. All soups, except Chicken Noodle, are suitable for vegetarians.

Available in 250g pouches, which can be simmered in boiling water from frozen or thawed or microwaved. The soups are in packs of 24 and cost £18.70.
