With the Channel Tunnel now open and France less than an hour away from the south east coast, more people are visiting the continent than ever before and bringing back with them a taste for French cuisine, whether it's coq au vin or moules marinieres. France has made an impact on British appetites with the surge of the baguette and classic dishes like crepes suzette.

Brake Bros offers a wide choice of French-style dishes. For starters, there's Escargots in Garlic Butter, Crispy Coated Camembert, Pate de Campagne and French Onion Soup. For main meals, dishes include Cog au Vin; Cassoulet; Salmon Paupiette Bonne Femme; Moules Marinieres and Gratin Dauphinoise.

Thomas Morel: ready-made meals such as Chicken Dijonnaise and Beef bourguignon.

Sauces

Knorr: Pour Over sauces such as Au Poivre, Demi-Glace and Provencale - just heat and serve. Cook in sauces include White Wine, Red Wine, Chasseur.

Stocks: paste bouillon in several varieties including beef, chicken and fish.

Snacks

Bakehouse: Pear and Chocolate Panier is half a pear surrounded by a chocolate filling in a flaky butter basket, complete with sachets of glaze and chocolate topping for finishing off; Croissant Abricot - two apricot halves and creme patissier enveloped in a flaky Continental pastry; All Butter Croissant.

Kitchen Range Foods: Garlic Mushrooms, Home-Style Breaded Mushrooms and Cajun Mushrooms. Mushrooms are supplied fresh from the Loire Valley.

Coated cheeses: French brie coated in breadcrumb; French Baby Camembert covered in crispy toasted breadcrumbs.

Delifrance: Petite Baguette range - varieties include Sundried Tomato Petite Baguette and Mediterranean Medley filled with a selection of olive oil barbecued vegetables - courgettes, onions, mushrooms, red and green peppers. Available in boxes of 35 x 100g.

Desserts

Brake Bros: Crepe Suzette, Tarte Framboise; Tarte au Poire; Tarte Normande; Tarte au Creme Anglaise and Tarte Tatin.

Delice de France: The 2kg Demi-Cadre Royal Nougat serves up to 24 people and can be sliced in any way for individual servings. It is made with light nougat cream filled with nougat pieces and white chocolate mousse on a crunchy nut biscuit base. Thaw for about three hours in the fridge before slicing and serving.

General

Gordon's Fine Foods: Organic Dijon mustard.

Universe Foodservice, under the Salad Makers label, salad dressings such as French Style Light, Balsamic Dressing and Coriander and Dill. Supplied in 2.2 litre clear view plastic jars. A quick spray of Garlic Mist will give extra pizzazz to delicious french dishes.
