Raffles unruffled
Property group CapitaLand has denied reports that it is selling its 60% stake in Singapore's Raffles hotel. The group said: "CapitaLand wishes to state that it has not solicited any proposals or offers for its stake in Raffles, nor does it have any firm plans at present to divest its investment in Raffles."
NY counts cost
The tourism industry in New York lost nearly $1b (£645m) from domestic travellers last year, according to figures from the city's tourism organisation, NYC & Co. It cited the the US recession and 11 September attacks as reasons for the decline.
Boinet resigns
Sven Boinet, head of hotel activities and a member of French hotel group Accor's management board, has resigned. Boinet, who had been with the group for 15 years, resigned to develop other "personal projects".
Olympic gain
Olympic Catering, the in-flight caterer for Greek airline Olympic Airways, has been sold to Greek fast-food chain Everest for €16.1m (£10m).
Going japanese
Novotel has made its debut in Japan. The Novotel Koshien Osaka West, formerly the Koshien Miyako, has 200 bedrooms, eight banqueting rooms, a health club and spa. It is Accor's fourth property in Japan.
Danish double
Danish group Arp-Hansen Hotels is to build two new properties in Copenhagen: the three-star, 180-bedroom Square hotel and the two-star, 200-bedroom Cab Inn.
