Multi-million pound refurbishment set for Dukes London
The red-AA-star, 90-bedroom Dukes London hotel is to undergo a multi-million pound refurbishment which will involve the creation of a new all-day casual dining concept.
Work on the bedrooms and public areas, which will get under way next month, is expected to be completed by the end of spring 2017.
Debrah Dhugga, managing director of Dukes London, said that maintaining standards is "absolutely essential" to remain at the forefront of the luxury hotel industry.
"This multi-million pound renovation will be the biggest investment the hotel has seen in decades. Our aim of the refurbishment is to enhance and enrich what our guests know and love about the Dukes experience, while maintaining our award-winning five-star service and attention to detail that the hotel is so well-known for."
Dukes London is owned by Dubai-based Seven Tides Hospitality. The company is set to open the Dukes Oceana, comprising 279 bedrooms and 227 apartments, on the Palm Jumeriah in Dubai before the end of the year.
Overseeing the launch of the property, Dhugga is currently splitting her time between Dubai and London.
