Pires buys Port Royal for £80k
The Port Royal pub/restaurant in Exeter has sold to local hotelier, Carlos Pires for £80k. Pires is best-known in the local area for managing the Gypsy Hill Hotel. With the Port Royal he is keen to develop the restaurant side of the business with new menus, featuring traditional home-cooked West Country food. The dining area can seat about 60, with a further 24 covers in the bar, 72 on an outside patio area and 30 in the lounge bar. Agent was Stonesmith, acting for Robert Mackenzie.
