Sloane Club's head chef buys Buckinghamshire inn

Simon Crawshaw, former head chef at the upmarket Sloane Club in Chelsea, London, has bought an old world country inn in the heart of the Chilterns that dates back to 1741.

Crawshaw, who has also worked at London's Connaught hotel, is the new owner of the Three Horseshoes at Bennett End, near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire.

The property has seating for around 36 diners. An extensive refurbishment in 2003 added four letting bedrooms and a self-contained owners's suite comprising a double bedroom, an en-suite bathroom and a lounge/dining room.

The Reading office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the property for close to the guide price of £825,000.
