Ben Warren named managing director of Roxy Leisure

27 February 2023 by

Ben Warren has been appointed as managing director of Roxy Leisure to support chief executive Matthew Jones.

The Leeds-based entertainment venue operator has planned for six site openings in 2023, which will boost its portfolio from 14 to 20 destinations across the UK. Six further sites are due to follow in 2024.

Warren was previously managing director of freehold pub company Concept Taverns, which grew from three to 11 sites during his tenure and generated turnover of £9m.

He said: "I am thrilled to be joining Roxy Leisure as their managing director. I have been familiar with the brand for a long time after serving as its operations manager from 2013 - 2017 and I'm a big fan of their concept. We're set for a very busy 2023 and I'm excited to be jumping straight in!"

Jones added: "Ben is bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role as well as plenty of passion for the hugely successful Roxy brand. With a busy year ahead with six openings planned, we're excited to get stuck in with Ben and work on growing Roxy Leisure even further."

Roxy Leisure was founded in 2013 by brothers Matthew and Ben Jones and offers a playground-themed bar, allowing guests to choose from a range of games, drinks and rock and indie music.
