Darjeeling Express to open as a pop-up in London gastropub

Asma Khan's Darjeeling Express restaurant is to open as a pop-up in the Pembroke gastropub in London's South Kensington from 24 August.

It comes ahead of the re-launch of the permanent restaurant, which is due to relocate to a yet-to-revealed location this winter.

Khan confirmed in March that she will be moving the 120-cover Darjeeling Express from London's Covent Garden to a venue that allows her to "show off" her all female team.

News of the pop-up was shared on Twitter.

.

In a video posted alongside the tweet, Khan said: "It's a temporary home, ironically in a place very close to my own home. We're opening on the 24 August, but it's not going to be every day.

"Please go on our website – all the information is there. It's only around 30 covers, so you really need to book. We're looking forward to feeding you and seeing you here."
