Entries open for AICR National Receptionist of the Year competition

Entries have now opened for the AICR National Receptionist of the Year competition, which invites hotel receptionists across the UK to demonstrate their craft and knowledge to industry experts.

The semi-finals will take place at the end of October, while the final stage and the UK Receptionist of the Year award ceremony will be held in November at a central London hotel.

As well as winning a week of cross training at a four-star or five-star hotel and a year's complimentary membership of AICR UK and the Institute of Hospitality, the national champion will be flown to Côte d'Azur in France to compete for the David Campbell trophy at the AICR international congress in February 2024.

The David Campbell trophy was introduced in 1995 in memory of the former chef de reception at the Ritz hotel in Paris.

Entries will close at 5pm on Friday 15 September. The nominator for the entrant must be a paid-up member of AICR UK and currently work at the same hotel.

The AICR (Amicale Internationale des Chefs de Réception et Sous Directeurs des Grands Hôtels) was founded in France in 1964 by the Chefs de Réception of several Grand Hotels. It has since grown into a network for Front Office Management professionals across all levels.
