Flodigarry Hotel comes to market for £3.5m

Flodigarry Hotel in the Isle of Skye has been brought to market for offers over £3.5m.

The 21-bedroom hotel, which spreads across the Garden Lodge, Flora MacDonald's Cottage (named after the individual who helped Bonnie Price Prince Charlie's escape following the tragedy at Culloden) and Dun Flodigarry, also features Skye restaurant, a whisky lounge, piano bar, and a terrace.

Current owners Paul and Bette Temming purchased the property in 2013 and refurbished the 7.1 acre estate overlooking the sea and the Torridon Mountains.

The pair have said they are looking to move onto "other projects in the UK and abroad".

They added: "Today our accomplished management team runs the business autonomously and it is for us that time in life to start a new adventure. Owning the Flodigarry is so much more than just having a hotel and a highly profitable investment; it is symbol of hospitality, of history, of success, reputation, and prestige in one of the most beautiful places on Earth."

Robert Smithson in the Hotels Agency team at Colliers, who is marketing the property, said: "The refurbishment that has taken place across the entire estate is testament to the respect the current owners have paid to its history and its surroundings. It is the only hotel on the island with a Green Tourism Gold Award."
