Chardon Management opens three hotels
Independent hotel management company Chardon Management has opened three hotels in three weeks.
The company has launched the 129-bedroom Holiday Inn at London Southend Airport, the 58-bedroom Holiday Inn Express in Windsor and the 80-bedroom Best Western Plus Coniston Hotel & Restaurant in Sittingbourne, Kent.
In a first for a Holiday Inn in the UK, the Southend Airport hotel, owned by the Stobart Group, features a rooftop bar and restaurant, called 1935, the year the airport opened. Meanwhile, the new Holiday Inn Express Windsor is located just 10 minutes from the centre of the royal town, and Coniston Hall has undergone an extensive refurbishment to regain its prominent position in the heart of the community.
Chardon's managing director, Robert Crook (pictured), said: "Opening new hotels in this environment is tough and requires the support of investors, banks and, where appropriate, brands. It is really encouraging to see this happening and it underpins our belief that there are some great opportunities for hotel development in the UK."
The company currently manages 35 hotels and seven health and fitness clubs throughout the UK, with its own brand portfolio comprising La Bonne Auberge; Limelight Bar & Grill; Triangle Health and Fitness; Tri Health & Beauty and Hoteldeals.co.uk.
