Jarvis puts two more hotels up for sale

Private hotel group Jarvis is continuing with the consolidation of its business, adding a further two properties to its for-sale list.

Last week the group put the 58-bedroom Ramada Perry Hall in Bromsgrove, West Midlands, and the 78-bedroom Ramada Loughborough, Leicestershire, on the market for £3.25m and £3.95m respectively. The hotels are the latest in a list of 11 properties being sold by the group.

Chief executive Richard Thomason said: "We are looking to reduce the level of duplication we have in certain locations. We are a new, private company with a well-structured business strategy and this consolidation of our properties forms an essential part of that strategy."

The group has duplicate hotels in Birmingham, Bristol, Gatwick, Glasgow, Gloucester, Guildford, Leeds, York and London.

Beyond the 11 hotels recently put up for sale, Jarvis has just completed the sale of its 82-bedroom Ramada Jarvis Kensington, in London, for £12.5m and is understood to have reached an exclusive agreement to sell its 377-bedroom Ramada Plaza Regent's Park hotel.
