Legacy Hotels and Resorts takes on Peak District property
Legacy Hotels and Resorts has taken on a new hotel on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
The 58-bedroom, three-star Hollin Hall Country House hotel in Macclesfield will now be known as the Legacy Hollin Hall hotel.
Asset owners Clayton Hotels previously operated the business as an independent hotel and left membership with Best Western early last year.
Andy Townsend, chief executive officer of Legacy Hotels and Resorts, said: "I am delighted to have secured this hotel under our management and we have no doubt that we can increase the performance of the business from what is already an established and respected base in the local community.
"2011 has already been a busy period of growth for us having welcomed the arrival of the Bear hotel at Hungerford, Berkshire, and nine stunning venues under the Classic Lodges Collection as affiliate hotels.
"I anticipate being able to announce the addition of three new properties to Legacy Hotels and Resorts as full management contracts within the next few weeks and we are extremely positive for the coming months with our pipeline of new prospective projects having never been stronger."
Legacy Hotels and Resorts operates and represents a portfolio of more than 30, three- and four-star properties, ranging in style from country houses to city centre hotels across the UK and southern Spain, with more than 1,900 rooms.
