Local hotelier and pub owner buys central London hotel

Patrick O'Connor is the new owner of the Cecil Court hotel near London's Hyde Park.

O'Connor has owned a number of hotels in the Earls Court area in the past and currently owns the O'Callaghan's Youth Hostel on Earls Court Road along with a number of pubs in the vicinity, including the Royal Exchange in Paddington.

The single mid-terrace period townhouse offers 13 bedrooms (eight en-suite), a dining room and a roof terrace. It has the potential to add three extra rooms, subject to planning permission.

The London office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £1.5m.
