Tom's Kitchen, HMS Belfast
Compass Group has opened a new Tom's Kitchen site at London landmark HMS Belfast. The most significant surviving Second World War Royal Navy warship is moored on the river Thames, and the new quayside restaurant, which is named after chef Tom Aikens, has been designed with a fresh and contemporary feel, aimed at tourists, local office workers and residents alike. The deli will open daily from 8am until 6pm offering a range of Tom's Kitchen dishes, as well as cakes and pastries. The rooftop bar will open from noon until late and offers nautical-themed cocktails as well as beers, wines and ciders and a selection of nibbles and sharing boards. The ship itself is run as an attraction by the Imperial War Museum, but no entrance tickets will be required for the restaurant. There are four Tom's Kitchen restaurants and three delis across London, as well as one international site in Istanbul.
