QMH puts Cheltenham and York Moat Houses on the market

Queens Moat Houses, which last month sold nine properties to Jefferson Hotels, has put another two hotels on the market for a rumoured £50m.

Property agent Christie & Co has been instructed to market the Moat House hotels in York and in Cheltenham/Gloucester.

The Cheltenham/Gloucester hotel in Brockworth, Gloucestershire, has 120 bedrooms, meeting facilities for up to 344 people, and extensive leisure facilities that include a 10-acre field for corporate activities.

The 200-bedroom York Moat House, which overlooks the River Ouse, has meeting rooms for up to 400 delegates and a Bodyclub gym.

The group currently operates 27 hotels in the UK, but this figure will drop to 23 next month (including York and Cheltenham) when the last four hotels are handed over to Jefferson. QMH also runs 24 hotels in Germany and 23 in the Netherlands.
