Success for Quality Hotel St Albans for second year in Choice Hotels Europe Awards
The Quality Hotel St Albans has been recognised as the UK Quality Hotel of the Year for the second year running.
The property was one of several to be awarded accolades by Choice Hotels Europe, the company behind the Comfort, Quality and Clarion franchised brands in Europe and part of Choice Hotels International.
Winner of the UK Comfort Hotel of the Year was the Comfort Inn & Suites Kings Cross St Pancras, while the Clarion Hotel Carrickfergus was named UK Clarion Hotel of the Year.
All three winners were selected after each hotel was reviewed for its guest satisfaction, cleanliness and consistent brand performance.
Clarion Collection Hotel Cromwell Stevenage was awarded Newcomer Hotel of the Year after being judged as the property that has most enhanced the portfolio. The four-star hotel dates back to the 17th century and was once home to Oliver Cromwell's secretary, John Thurloe.
Duncan Berry, UK chief executive, Choice Hotels Europe, congratulated the hotels for their success. "They are excellent showcases for our franchised hotel network in the UK and the rest of Europe."
