Weston Park seeks brigade for new restaurant opening
A new 70-seat eaterie set to open in a Midlands stately home this spring is on the hunt for a brigade of chefs and kitchen assistants.
The Granary Bar and Grill is to be set in the old malting house of a restored 18th-century granary building in the grounds of Weston Park. It is looking for 11 staff to man the restaurant.
Weston Park is the former home of the Earls of Bradford but is now held in trust by the Weston Park Foundation.
The new venue will serve a modern British menu using local produce across a seven-day-a-week service. A brand-new open-plan kitchen and preparation areas will be located in the former slaughter house.
Colin Sweeney, Weston Park's chief executive, said: "Our latest project will complete the Weston Park all-year-round experience. The stately home presently provides fine dining and is only available on an exclusive basis whereas the new Bar and Grill will cater for all budgets.
"We will be recruiting for kitchen staff and will be looking for candidates that can demonstrate imagination and flair and who can work with our existing team to position The Granary Bar and Grill as one of the region's favourite food destinations."
