Yasmin Keen has been appointed general manager of the 518-bedroom Sofitel London Gatwick hotel.
She joins the hotel, managed and operated by the Arora Group under a franchise agreement with AccorHotels, from her recent position as general manager at the Queens Hotel Cheltenham, where she repositioned the hotel to become a flagship MGallery by Sofitel property for AccorHotels.
Her previous roles include operations manager and director of sales and marketing at Pullman London St Pancras, where she helped reposition the former Novotel hotel as the first Pullman hotel in the UK.
Keen said: "I'm thrilled to be joining Arora Hotels and the team at Sofitel London Gatwick. The hotel excels at providing high standards of luxury travel and facilities for business travellers, leisure guests and corporate delegates alike, and I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge and ideas to the table."
Vincent Madden, director of operations at Arora Hotels, said: "It's a pleasure to welcome Yasmin and Laukik to the team. With Yasmin's vast experience and expert knowledge of the hospitality industry, she is exceptionally well-placed to ensure our guests continue to receive a first-class experience when visiting the hotel."
Laukik Kharkar has also returned to Sofitel London Gatwick as food and beverage manager, 15 years after he started his hospitality career as a waiter at the hotel following the completion of his training in Mumbai. His last role was as an assistant operations manager at Whitbread.
