Lukasz Dwornik named managing director of the Nici group

Lukasz Dwornik, the former general manager of the Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa, has been appointed managing director of the Nici group.

Dwornik has almost twenty years' experience in the industry, having worked at brands such as Quantum Hotels and Harbour Hotels.

He has also worked closely with founder and owner of the Nici group, Nicolas Roach, who launched its first property in Bournemouth in summer 2022.

Roach said: "I am delighted to welcome Lukasz to the Nici family. His arrival signals a commitment to unparalleled guest experiences, honed through his proven expertise – as we embark on our next chapter, expanding on our unique and ambitious brand."

Dwornik added: "I am delighted to take the reins as managing director for the Nici group. The brand has already achieved exceptional results, and I am excited to steer the course for our next phase – as we continue to enhance our unique guest experience and build out the group."

Dwornik will also manage the group's private Hampshire estate, Avington, which is due to debut its Avington Lakes project later this year.

Meanwhile, the Nici group has brought in a raft of industry talent to oversee its expansion plans.

Richard Warr joins from Chewton Glen in Hampshire as group food and beverage director, while Christopher Drodge, who was previously at the Pig Hotels, will manage the operations and day-to-day running of the Nici in Bournemouth.

Executive chef Dominic South, who was formerly at the Langham and the Corinthia in London, will also work with head chef Ian Gibbs to oversee the kitchen.
