Man arrested and charged for serious sexual assault at Scottish hotel

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault that took place in a hotel in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.
The 42-year-old man is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court today (18 October).
Police Scotland said the incident took place at around 2am on 15 October and involved a 44-year-old woman who was sexually assaulted at a hotel on Main Street.
Officers said they believed she had met her attacker at a taxi rank near the hotel.
