Manorview to share £273,000 profit with staff

Staff at independent Scottish hospitality group Manorview are set to receive a share of over £273,000 of profit.

Under the Heartcount profit share scheme, anyone who has worked in the business for over 12 months qualifies for a share of 10% of Manorview's net profits.

The total amount being shared across 471 qualifying members in February will be £273,560, which will equate to two weeks' worth of pay for many of the participating employees.

Profits acquired through Manorview's 12-strong portfolio across central Scotland were the business' biggest yet.

David Tracey, managing director of Manorview, said: "Fairness is at the heart of our decisions. Every person in every role across our business impacts our success, so it's right that profit is shared in a fair way. The calculation process ultimately means that it doesn't matter whether someone is a kitchen porter, bar team, wedding sales manager, general manager, housekeeper or director – if they've worked the same hours, they get the same profit share."

Manorview was founded by chairman Steve Graham and operates hotels, wedding venues, restaurants and bars across Scotland, including Boclair House in Bearsden, the Busby in Clarkston and the Tarbet in Loch Lomond.
