Nicholas Walley leaves Fowey Hall in Cornwall

Nicholas Walley, general manager of Fowey Hall Hotel in Cornwall, has announced his departure after two and a half years at the property.

Posting the news on LinkedIn today (6 October), Walley said: "A massive thank you to everyone who has worked for me at Fowey and all the support from the people I worked with at Luxury Family Hotels.

"I'm taking with me some fantastic memories and cannot wait to see the hotel and brand grow from afar. Now onto the next adventure!"

Fowey Hall was awarded Front of House Team of the Year at the 2022 Hotel Cateys, with judging describing them as "nothing short of remarkable" for "managing to achieve excellent customer service scores and upholding the ‘four pillars' while going through a major refurbishment".

Luxury Family Hotels announced the programme of investment at Fowey Hall in December 2021, with plans to build 24 new bedrooms, an outdoor swimming pool and a relandscaping of the grounds and driveway.

Luxury Family Hotels was founded in 1988 and has five properties across southern England in its portfolio.
