Palé Hall Hotel & Restaurant put up for sale for £6m
The freehold of Palé Hall Hotel & Restaurant in Llandderfel, Wales, has been put up for sale for £6m as the owners prepare for retirement.
Angela and Alan Harper, who have owned the 22-room luxury country house for the past decade, said: "We are very proud of everything which has been achieved at Palé Hall and will be sad to leave the hotel and the wonderful management team. But it's time to hand over to a new owner."
The property is set within 50 acres of landscaped gardens and originally dates back to 1871. Divided into a basement, ground and two upper floors, the hotel also features a grand hall, traditional reception room, library, bar, dining room, a breakfast room, staff accommodation, 18 bedrooms and four garden suites.
It is home to the three-AA-rosette and green Michelin star-winning fine dining restaurant headed up by Welsh Chef of the Year 2021 Sam Griffiths and sommelier Garry Clark.
The hotel completed a significant refurbishment in 2015 and has been led by general manager Debbie Cappadona for the past six years.
It also received five AA red stars in 2017, becoming the first hotel in north Wales to receive the accolade.
Palé Hall Hotel & Restaurant upgraded its hydroelectric system turbine, which dates back to 1921, that year.
