Phil Howard to open second Notto pasta restaurant

Chef Phil Howard is set to launch his second Notto pasta restaurant in London's Covent Garden on 13 November, a year after the flagship Piccadilly opening.

Alongside business partner, Julian Dyer of Pots & Co, Howard will offer guests a seasonal Italian menu at the new site at 4 Henrietta Street.

Howard and Dyer set up a pasta delivery business during the pandemic which led them to open the first Notto in Piccadilly at the end of 2022.

At the Covent Garden opening, executive chef Louis Korovilas and new head chef George Seciu, who moves from the Piccadilly branch, will serve dishes such as focaccia with rosemary, rock salt, tomatoes, and garlic; gnocchetti with smashed sausage, white wine, fennel and chilli; and ravioli of pumpkin and chestnuts with pine nuts, brown butter, sage and parmesan.

The 96-cover restaurant will be overseen by general manager Ieva Mikelionyte, who previously worked at Gaucho, Daisy Green Collection and Carluccio's.

Notto Covent Garden will also offer a set lunch menu including a focaccia, starter, pasta and green salad for £17.50.

Prior to launching the Notto restaurants, Howard spent his earlier years working under Marco Pierre White at Harveys and has held a Michelin star at his Elystan Street restaurant in Chelsea since 2017. He previously maintained two Michelin stars at the Square in Mayfair for 17 years.
