Regional finalists announced for Uber Eats UK and Ireland Restaurant of the Year Award 2023
Ninety regional finalists have been announced for the Uber Eats UK and Ireland Restaurant of the Year Award 2023.
The restaurants come from over 35 towns and cities and represent over 33 different cuisines between them. All of them are available on the Uber Eats app, which has partnered with over 700,000 restaurants globally.
Those that receive the most votes from the public will be invited to a judging day in London, led by Prue Leith and Monica Galetti.
Other judges include Seema Pankhania, who trained as chef de partie at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, Matthew Price of Uber Eats, and Lorraine Copes of Be Inclusive Hospitality.
This will be followed by an awards reception in October announcing the winner of the competition, who will subsequently receive a £100,000 investment from Uber Eats.
Matthew Price, general manager UK, Ireland and Northern Europe at Uber Eats, said: "This year our awards are focused on championing and celebrating the trailblazers who are going above and beyond in their fields. Our regional finalists are all local high-street favourites spanning dozens of cuisine types from across the UK and Ireland, highlighting the vast selection the UK restaurant industry has to offer".
