Restaurant St Barts to introduce four-seat chef's counter
The Michelin-starred Restaurant St Barts in London's Smithfield is set to launch a four-seat chef's counter.
Johnnie Crowe, Luke Wasserman and Toby Neill, the team behind Nest in London's Shoreditch, launched Restaurant St Barts in October 2022, which won a Michelin star months after opening for its tasting dinner menu and six-course lunch menu.
At the 2024 Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland ceremony, the trio were also awarded a Green Star for showcasing seasonal produce and working with small-scale farmers, making it the only restaurant in London to hold both stars.
Diners seated at the intimate chef's counter will be able to watch executive chef Crowe and his team directly from the main pass.
Dishes such as Mangalitza pork served with homemade milk bread brushed with pork fat, which is later used to make bacon jam and black pudding, will be available, as well as a potato and truffle dish reminiscent of a risotto.
Crowe said: "The chef's counter serves as a platform to offer guests the opportunity to engage with our team and gain insight into the thought process behind our menu."
