Motu Indian Kitchen to open second site in Camberwell

JKS Restaurants is to open a second Motu Indian Kitchen, an Indian home delivery brand, in Camberwell, south London.

The restaurant, which is due to open on 14 December, follows the success of the first Motu in London's Battersea which opened in October this year.

The new kitchen will deliver to Peckham, Brixton, East Dulwich and Herne Hill in partnership with Deliveroo using a Roobox kitchen.

JKS Restaurants is owned by the Sethi family. Motu is named after the Sethi siblings' nickname for their uncle, meaning ‘fat man' in Hindi.

Motu delivers refined versions of British Indian takeaway classics. The menu offers feat boxes which take inspiration from traditional tiffins used to distribute meals to workers across Indian cities.

Curries include Kashmiri lamb shank rogan josh, madras prawn masala, samosa Chaat, tadka dal and aubergine masala.

JKS Restaurants operates Michelin-starred Indian restaurants Trishna in Marylebone and Gymkhana in Mayfair as well as Sri Lankan restaurant, Hoppers, Soho.

Other restaurants included in the JKS portfolio include Michelin-starred British restaurants Lyle's and Kitchen Table, as well as BAO Soho, BAO Fitzrovia, and Bubbledogs.
