Third Brasseria restaurant to launch in early 2024

Third-generation restaurateurs Andrea and Alberto Fraquelli have announced plans to open their third Brasseria restaurant in early 2024, six years after they first launched the brand.

The brothers, sons of Metropolitan restaurant group founder Stefano Fraquelli and grandsons of Spaghetti House co-founder Lorenzo Fraquelli, opened La Brasseria Milanese in London's Marylebone in 2018.

They will now be taking over the site of French bistro La Brasserie in south London, which first launched 30 years ago, to open Brasseria Brompton.

The 8,000sq ft venue will be spread across two floors, made up of a terrace, café, bar area and main restaurant lined with booth seating.

The opening team for Brasseria Brompton will consist of executive chef Giulio Rossi and general manager Gianluca Camilletti, both of whom played key roles for the opening of La Brasseria Marylebone and Brasseria Notting Hill, which launched in 2021.

Rossi and Camilletti will also be joined by Jason Tesoriere, who spent 15 years working for Corbin and King, most recently as general manager of Colbert in London's Chelsea, and Ian White of RH Guesthouse in New York.

Typical dishes at Brasseria Brompton will include cotoletta alla Milanese; hand-made fettuccine della casa with porcini mushrooms and truffle cream; and the Brasseria steak tartare.
