Toby Carvery loses out on 600 guests after weekend fridge failure

A Toby Carvery restaurant in Bristol was forced to turn away 600 guests over the weekend due to a fridge failure.

Toby Carvery Maes Knoll had to discard "pretty much all stock" yesterday (6 August) after its walk-in fridge stopped working.

The all-day diner revealed it had "over 600 people booked" on Sunday.

Posting the news on Facebook, the restaurant said: "We are incredibly sorry for any inconvenience caused and we'll keep our Facebook page updated."

It has since secured the delivery of a mobile fridge unit and the site is due to reopen today (7 August).
