Beyond Meat launches new pepperoni range with Pizza Hut

Beyond Meat is launching a Beyond Pepperoni range in Pizza Hut this week.

The new meat-alternative topping will feature on Pizza Hut's biggest pizza, the 16in Big New Yorker, as well as being added to the pizza chain's ‘Feast' range, Beyond Pepperoni Feast, and its ‘Melts' range in the form of Beyond Pepperoni Melt.

The range will be made available through Pizza Hut delivery this week, and at all 511 Pizza Hut restaurants from January 2024.

The addition of the pepperoni range adds to Beyond Meat's portfolio of products with the high-street restaurant chain; its Italian style sausage features on a vegan pizza with peppers, mushrooms, red onions and vegan cheese.

Hameed Jagani, vice president, global strategic partnerships at Beyond Meat, said: "With more and more British consumers looking to reduce their animal meat consumption, we're thrilled to offer a delicious, innovative plant-based pizza topping that will delight meat lovers, flexitarians and vegetarians alike."

Hazell White, head of brand and innovation at Pizza Hut UK & Europe, added the group is "proud to be partnering with Beyond Meat again for the launch of our Beyond Pepperoni range".

The Beyond Meat pepperoni range is available until February 2024.

The launch of Beyond Meat's latest product in Pizza Hut builds on its recent roll-out of its Beyond Stack Burger. The Beyond Stack Burger features in children's menus in 250 sites in Greene King's Hungry Horse franchise and was also introduced into 849 JD Wetherspoons sites in August.
