Birra Moretti launches pint-pulling guide to help operators this festive season
Two in five pub managers have said they have faced challenges when it comes to training their staff to pouring "the perfect pint", according to research from Heineken-owned beer brand, Birra Moretti.
The report also highlighted that, with the upcoming festive period, almost seven in ten (68%) pub managers admitted there are challenges to maintaining pint quality during this season.
To alleviate some of these pressures, over half (52%) plan to have more staff on the bar this Christmas and new year. Other initiatives include a refresh on staff training and more frequent cellar checks to ensure the beer is at the optimum temperature.
The research was conducted last month in collaboration with hospitality research firm KAM, who interviewed 200 pub landlords or managers across the country.
To help pub owners improve pint-pulling amongst staff, Birra Moretti, which is owned by Dutch brewing company Heineken, has launched its Pint Perfection Platform, a guide which aims to give managers and staff the confidence to serve consistently good pints.
