Greenall's Gin hits 100k 9L case sales in the UK

Greenall's Original London Dry Gin has reached sales of 100,000 nine litre cases for the first time in the UK, almost doubling the company's volume over the past three years and showing growth of 33% over the past 12 months.

For the four weeks to 14 November, Greenall's sales were also up by 63% compared to the same four week period in 2012, according to a Nielsen Off-Trade report.

Greenall's owner Quintessential Brands aims to drive continued growth in the UK and international markets with a retail sales value of £20m and over 1.2 million 70cl bottles sold in the UK.

Joanne Moore, master distiller, at G&J Distillers, said: "We are rightly proud of our best-selling gin brand and look forward to introducing this approachable, well-priced gin to a younger generation of gin drinkers."

Stephen Loftus, director of brands at Quintessential Brands, added: "We are very excited by the momentum we have with Greenalls. 2014 will see a strategy to deliver growth and increased investment behind innovation and brand awareness, with a number of new products planned for launch next Spring."
