Besides being suitable as a breakfast product, Bakehouse's Lemon Croissant can be a treat at any time of day or for eating on the move, as the lemon filling means there is no need for additional accompaniments such as butter or jam. The filling is a blend of lemon curd and crème pâtissière. Lemon zest is added to the dough with the butter, and there is a topping of sugar nibs. The 95g croissant is supplied frozen in cases of 48 and takes 20 minutes to bake off.
