Maldon Salt teams up with Academy of Culinary Arts to publish Desert Island Dishes cookbook

To mark its 130th birthday, Maldon Salt has teamed up with the Academy of Culinary Arts to create Desert Island Dishes.

More than 60 of the world's top chefs were asked: What's the one dish you couldn't live without - your desert island dish?' The result is a cookbook full of indispensable recipes from an impressive list of top chefs, including Brian Turner, Rick Stein, Albert Roux, John Williams and Gary Rhodes.

Steven Osborne, Managing Director of Maldon Salt Company said "We have created the book to inspire and educate consumers and operators about Maldon's quality and versatility as an ingredient but also to showcase Britain's outstanding cooking talent in a celebration of our landmark birthday".

Part of the proceeds from the book will be given to the Academy of Culinary Arts, Britain's professional association of head chefs, pastry chefs, restaurant managers and suppliers. Maldon Salt has been an Associate Member of the Academy for nearly ten years and during that time has committed generously to the education and training of young people in the hospitality industry.

Desert Island Dishes is a 192 page hardback book with a foreword by Brian Turner and an introduction by Jay Rayner. The book is published by Infinite Ideas and will be on sale at a RRP of £18.99 in Waterstones, Foyles, Daunt Books and all other good booksellers.
