Young Scottish Seafood Chef awards entries open

Seafood Scotland has launched its Young Scottish Seafood Chef of the Year 2011 Awards.

Now in their third year, the awards are open to chefs aged below 23 from colleges and restaurants, who must submit recipes for a starter and main dish using a given selection of fish and shellfish. Six finalists will compete for the title on 30 June and have a tour of the seafood industry in the North-east of Scotland.

The winner takes away a trophy, a week's work experience with a top Scottish chef and the chance to cook for Seafood Scotland at events.

Entries must be submitted by 28 April and forms can be downloaded from www.seafoodscotland.org or www.scottishchefs.com
