Trading at Greene King in line with expectations

Pub company Greene King said trading in the 36 weeks to January 2006 has been in line with expectations.

Like-for-like sales at its pub company division of managed properties were up 1.6% year-on-year.

Pub partners, the companies leased and tenanted business, saw like-for-like sales climb 2.2%.

Trading results at Scottish brewer and pub company Belhaven, which Greene King bought last year, remained in line and the company said its integration into the group was progressing well.

Greene King will announce its full-year results on 11 July 2006.
