British hotelier tells of escape

A British hotel manager narrowly escaped death in the Bali nightclub bombing because she was in the toilets at the time.

Sharron Merritt, who runs the Warwick Court hotel in Weymouth, Dorset, with her parents, was at the Sari club with a friend. She believes they were saved by the walls of the cubicles. Afterwards the pair made their way out, sustaining cuts from shards of glass.

"There were body parts everywhere. I've never seen anything like it," said Merritt.
