Caring restaurants win Egon Ronay awards

Egon Ronay's Guides presented 10 restaurants withits annual customer care awards this week, at the premises of one of the regional winners, the Museum Street Café in London.

The national winner was Winteringham Fields, of Winteringham, Lincolnshire. Splinters, of Christchurch, Dorset, scooped the national award in the bistros, bars and cafés category.

The other winners of regional awards, alongside the Museum Street Café, were: Blackgate Restaurant, Newcastle-upon-Tyne; Village Bakery, Melmerby, Cumbria; Rascasse, Leeds; Merchant House, Ludlow, Shropshire; Pheasants, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire; Horn of Plenty, Gulworth, Devon; andLe Poisson, Brockenhurst, Hampshire.
