THE Churchill Inter-Continental in London opened its Club Inter-Continental floor (pictured above) last week. The £1.1m renovation is part of an overall £9.5m hotel refurbishment.
Each room on the floor has a dedicated fax/modem line and an international direct-dial telephone and fax machines are available. An interactive television system allows guests to review bills and telephone messages. Overall room amenities have also been enhanced.
A Club butler can arrange clothes pressing, travel, tickets and reservations. Breakfast, pre-dinner cocktails and canapés in the lounge are all complimentary. The hotel boardroom is available for use free of charge. There is a reference library and the business centre offers secretarial services and cellular phone hire.
When the refurbishment is completed in July, 407 guest rooms, 39 suites, two penthouses, the public areas, lobby, Terrace Lounge and the hotel entrance will have been renovated.
