CHATEAU TOKYO

An idea sponsored by Sapporo Beer, and to be executed by French chefs JoÁ¢l Robuchon and Jean-Claude Vrinat of Taillevent, is to import genuine Louis XV wood panelling from a Norman chÆ'teau for the 50-seat tearoom, and the 66-seat first floor restaurant will be Louis XIV style.

Sited in a "park" of offices, shops and apartments, the ChÆ'teau Taillevent-Robuchon is scheduled to be opened by the year's end.

RADISSON'S SUITE SUCCESS

FIRST the all-suite hotel, then the boutique hotel, now Radisson Hotels International has announced the pending arrival of its first hotel in Italy - an all-suite, luxury boutique resort.

Sited in the north Italian mountain village of Albisano, Torri del Benaco, the four-star Radisson Hotel Le Torri del Garda, with a view 1,000 feet down onto Lake Garda, is due for completion in June.

FITCH IN GLASSHOUSE

LONDON design consultancy Fitch has been appointed to design a conservatory extension for Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class hospitality lounge at Heathrow's Terminal 3, the first such structure ever to be built within an airport. Construction begins this month.
