Catering Update Excellence in Food and Drink Awards: winners revealed
Eleven food and drink suppliers received awards for the quality of their products at last Friday's Catering Update Excellence in Food and Drink Awards. The ceremony took place at the Landmark Hotel in London. One winner was then chosen from the 11 to be awarded the highest accolade, the Gold Excellence Award.
Home economists had prepared the products according to the manufacturer's instructions and the products were then judged by a panel of industry figures, including chefs, operators, food and wine writers and product development experts. A team of youngsters helped judge the children's category.
