Commons subsidies

We have been asked to point out that a catering subsidy of £175 per week for every MP, as stated in Caterer (27 November, page 6), is inaccurate. More than 7,000 people use the catering facilities at the House of Commons when it is in session and not just the 659 MPs, making it difficult to calculate the extent of the subsidy.
